"Light disperses Dark once again. I stand amidst my peers, in the same place I was yesterday; the same place I have been since birth. We feed Body, that's our duty. Day we work, night we rest. Not one is unique, We are all same; Same shape. Same colour. Same structure. Same everything. How I wish to be unique; to stand out; to be Seen. We never move unless Breeze plays with us, or Raindrops bathe us. Sometimes, if we're lucky, a bug may build a home on us. Even while ageing, our colors change uniformly. The same gradual yellow spreading from the base. When we die, we fall onto the same grave, right above Root. Now, My time is coming. I will die, having performed my duty well. But never acknowledged, never noticed; Not once Seen. I am just one among many." Li'l Mr. Leaf was heard by Breeze. And when his time came, Breeze blew more playfully. She blew his tiny form with stronger gust, taking him for a ride as long as she could; And just before he took his last breath, she dropped him, much farther than usual, into a bright cyan bowl of wetness. Here, his dream fulfilled - he was Seen at last. Standing out a bright yellow, against the cool backdrop. He sighed, then quietly died. And Breeze smiled, satisfied.
